![]() I personally would suggest the skypad for it's durability being so good meaning you'll spend a lot for something that'll stay for long. Also, you will have to wear a gaming sleeve, personally I always wore one before I got the skypad so it wasn't a dealbreaker for me but if you hate sleeves then look for a different pad. I mostly just didn't want to deal with another mousepad I shelled out cash for becoming muddy on me and I figured if the drop in consistency really bothered me that much I could always just sell it and buy another cloth pad. So, being fun to use, combined with the fact that it would last me for a very long time made me buy it and now I am a skypad enjoyer. I was considering not getting it because of this, however every reviewer I watched for it always said that even though it wasn't the most consistent mousepad, it was a ton of fun to use. I believe people call it a kovaaks pad, because it exposes how good/bad you really are at aiming and doesn't cover your mistakes like other pads can. Now, the skypad is a really fast pad that you will simply not be as consistent with as other mousepads because it is so fast. I was quite disappointed because washing the mousepad doesn't restore the glide so you have to realize that the pad will wear eventually and you'll be left with an inconsistent feeling pad.Īfter the otsu, I wanted a pad that would last me a long time and that was FAST, because using a worn out otsu felt absolutely terrible and it really threw off my micro adjustments, so I kind of had muddy mousepad ptsd. Also slower if you move your mouse while pressing down the mouse.Originally I bought a hayate otsu, and the one I got really slowed down a lot after a couple months. If not sent in a flat box, it is impossible to get flat. Less stiff version of MP510 fabric.ĭeviations apparent near stitching. Has bumps on sides of the pad, collects dust really easily, does not lay flat after months of use. ![]() The XL version does not suffer from this problem.ĭevelops a waxy texture over time, cannot be fixed. Major Quality Control issues with surface finish (major issue). Becomes very sticky and has increased static friction after about 7-10 months. You feel the drag when tracking steadily over long distances - it’s just that starting movement from a dead stop is effortless and makes it feel “very fast” for small movements.ĭoes not collect hair and dust like the Artisan Zero, Qck+, or Gigantus. Slows down considerably, becomes “sticky”.Īlthough the gliPAD has very little difference between static friction and kinetic, overall it’s more of a “medium” friction pad. (sometimes)Īsymmetrical fissures after prolonged use. QC issue where weave has Y direction faster than X direction. ![]() Tight threading traps hairs, making cleaning difficult, but it does not impact performance. Odd square thread pattern causes sensor malfunctions, recommended using 3360 sensor or newer. The Otsu has even x/y speed while the regular Hayate has a slight difference in x/y. Glass “beads/top coat” can feel sticky on your palm and grab onto arm sleeves during gameplay. Glide loss after 2-4 months, possible sensor issues. Note: these are all personal opinions, so you might have a different experience.īecomes very sticky and has increased static friction after about 7-10 months. The pads are sorted in alphabetical order. In this section, there are quick but helpful comments on each mousepad that may help with your final choice. Pads that have a much quicker glide but still have proper stopping power. Very low static friction and fast glide, little stopping power. The pads marked with * are not recommended. The pads highlighted with bold are the top recommended ones. ![]() The higher up a mousepad is in its tier, the faster it is. In this tier list, all the mousepads are categorized based on their speed. ![]()
